a work life in IKEA: my career journey in IKEA Kota Baru Parahyangan (so far!)I started saying Hej! in the beginning of 2021 and becoming a part of IKEA Kota Baru Parahyangan. Because of a commercial build up period, I started my day with helmet, safety vest, and safety shoes? Is a must!I made my very first career journey as an HR, a department with the personnel touch. Being responsible to provide the best services to co-workers from onboarding to offboarding. To ensure they have the best uniform on their first day, their health and wellness, to be good listener, and the aim is to create a great employer-employee experience in a work life.Working in IKEA, we are able to expand our comfort zone to take up the challenge of a job we know nothing about. Almost 2 years in IKEA, I eager to know the whole business process. With the passion and hard work, at the end of 2022 I can finallly break my limits and become the part of In-Store Logistics as a Sales & Supply Support specialist. From maintaining hundreds of co-workers to maintain thousands of product articles. Previously I met Putri, Maya, Adi, Risna, Rully, and now I meet BILLY, FEJKA, IVAR, BESTÅ. Now I have to make sure the availability of ADILS and its friend LINNMON.Some of friends were asked, what the different to work for people and the product? I would say, nothing different. Working with product doesn’t mean that I stop to communicate with people. I learned a lot in HR how to communicate with other people, solve the problem, then I applied it to Logistic for better. Are you happy with what you are doing now? It is true when people said, when you do things that you like and that you are passionate about, it will not feel like you are stressing yourself out, but actually you are happy doing it. As for me there are 2 things that I am happy and passionate about - and it is something that I look forward to everyday.1. Headhunting / Recruitment2. Cooking I always love doing Recruitment, because it is my passion. I love the adrenalin feeling when I get a job requisition and I will need to "hunt" the right talent and present it to my Clients or the Hiring Manager. It is also because I am able to give the candidate a chance for a new career, a fresh start but mainly is because the candidate would be able to bring food to the table for his/her loved ones. It is such a lovely feeling or "high" when I manage to close a job.Cooking is my 2nd passion, because I love the feeling of being able to cook something delicious and getting complimented after that. And, being asked to cook it again! 😁My specialities are Char Kuey Teow Penang, Mee Goreng Mamak, Mee Rebus Penang, Assam Laksa Penang, Nasi Lemak With Sambal Udang.
