No, the XPath data model is based on the XML Infoset -- created earlier than
XML Schema. Data from XML PSVI (Post-Schema Validation Infoset) will be
available in XSLT 2.0.

I refined my attempt a little further, and the following code does seem to work, however it has 2 major problems: 1. Very limited support for XPath features Basic paths are supported for elements, attributes, ".", and "..", plus also the "" predicate format is supported - however, only one predicate per path step is supported, and expr must be a relative path. 2. Poor performance

Greetings I can't seem to inherit enumerated values from a globally defined type in my XML schema. XmlSchema.Compile() doesn't like it. Here's the schema. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified">

Context Node in XPath 1.0

by: Tim Hallwyl |last post by:

Hi, there! As I understand the XPaht recommendation, the context node is a node; not a node-list, not XPath object -- but a single node. Now, the WS-BPEL 2.0 specification allows an XML simple type value to be the context of an XPath expression, by converting it to an XPath object -- either boolean, string or float. I do not see how this is possible, but I would like your thoughts on it.

Insert new XML data using an XPath

by: rcronk |last post by:

I'm new to C#/.NET. I am writing some C#/.NET (2.0) classes that will allow someone to get and set values in an XML file using an XPath to point to the location of that data. It's more complicated than this but for simplicity's sake, I've trimmed it down to this. The problem I'm running into is I want to find the best way to add the data into the XML file if the XPath returns nothing. For example, some XPaths might already exist in the XML...

My problem is as follows, any advice / suggestion would be greatly appreciated: Lets suppose that I have defined a simpleType "addressType" with 3 enumeration values (Home, Office, Vacation) that restrict data entry. I want to use this simpleType in 2 different unrelated complexType definitions, lets call them "personalAddress" and "companyAddress" How will I be able to use "addressType" inside "personalAddress" such that the 3...

Problem With Comparison Operator <=> in G++

by: Oralloy |last post by:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

The easy way to turn off automatic updates for Windows 10/11

by: Hystou |last post by:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
