ROUND 5 - Let the Party Go All Night Long!
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to the SS Circuit Cup, OU division. Yep, we're back, it's your resident clown GraveBee accompanied by the shoes, the myth, the legend, Akeras to serve as your hosts for the evening. As the bulk of the party settles down, we know that some of you just want to keep those SS OU tour games going as long as you can. And that's great! It'll earn you more points in the circuit the longer you go, so let us supply good times while y'all supply yourself another step towards qualifying for the SS OverUsed Championship. Round 5 is for the true partygoers, the people that not only showed their seriousness in rounds 1-2 but proved their dedication in Round 3 and Round 4 via some unavoidable battles. Now, it’s time for you to show us some really smooth moves! Your opponents get better from here, as do the battles. You’ve got the spotlight, so show the crowd what you’re made of!
Rules? Who needs rules when we’ve got some partying to do? Just abide by common sense and the bouncers won’t throw ya out. However, just know that the quagsire over there, through the sheer power of reading the fine print, has developed better dance skills. Don’t let quagsire upstage you!

- Best of three, single elimination.
- Battles should take place on Pokemon Showdown! or on Smogtours.
- Donât make baseless activity posts, you arenât gonna get act unless thereâs an actual reason. Get in contact with your opponent and report stuff if they either donât respond, miss a scheduled time, or if yâall need an extension.
- We highly recommend using Smogon forums for scheduling purposes in case activity cases arise, as those can be seen without needing to ask people for discord DMs. We can’t give act for what we can’t see. We reserve the right to flip a case for lack of evidence if you drag scheduling into discord DMs and don't put the scheduling logs (or lack thereof) somewhere we can see it.
- Sleep Clause: If a player has already put an opposing Pokemon to sleep using a sleep inducing move and that Pokemon is still sleeping due to that sleep inducing move, the player cannot put another opposing Pokemon to sleep using a sleep inducing move.
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same species of Pokemon on their team, based on the National Pokedex Number. For example, a player cannot have two Volcaronas on their team.
- Evasion Clause: Players cannot use Double Team or Minimize in any of their Pokemon's movesets.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokemon's movesets.
- Timer Clause: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
- Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any Pokemon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play. Check this thread for more information.
- Uber Clause / OU Banlist: Players may not use any items, moves, abilities, or Pokemon that appear on Smogon's SS OU Ban List. If the tiers change in the middle of a round, the changes will take effect in the following round. There will be an announcement in the relevant round if this occurs.
- Dynamax Clause: Players cannot dynamax.

Remember folks, get it in writing. Get everything in writing. Something to the tune of Wednesday would be preferable. Feel free to ask questions or for extensions if ya need them - we’re here to vibe and get games played, the more of that we can keep doing the better.
